Stan has fifty three years of surveying experience in West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University, having graduated in 1974. He was awarded the "Surveyor of the Year" award on October 5, 2018 and received a "Presidential Award "on October 4, 2018 by the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors. He was awarded the "Young Surveyor of the Year" award in 1981 by TSPS, of which he has been an active member since 1977. Stan has held all offices of the Permian Basin Chapter 10 and in March 2009, he received the "Legends of the West" award from the Chapter.

Stan was elected to a three-year term as a Director of TSPS on October 3, 2019, after completing two previous three-year terms, 2016-2019 and 1986-1989. He is serving his fifth term as Education Chairman until October 2023. He served as chairman of the Standards Committee (and is still a member) and was chairman of the CST (Certified Survey Technician) Committee in 2018 and 2019. He was on the 2021 Nomination Committee and has previously served on this committee. He was Program Chairman for the 1987 TSPS Annual Convention. He is presently on the Surveyors Advisory Committee for the Texas Board of Professional Land Engineers and Land Surveyors and has been a member of the Exam Item Writing Committee. He has prepared and presented many papers on various topics of boundary surveying and mapping at seminars of TSPS. He was an adjunct professor at Odessa College during the fall of 2009 and spring of 2010, teaching Legal Principals I and II. 
His experience in surveying includes global positioning survey control for global information systems, ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, topographical surveys, oil well location surveys, route surveys and boundary surveys. Stan was pre-certified in November 2002 by the Texas Department of Transportation, in seven state categories. His has vast experience working with the General Land Office of the State of Texas on projects involving hundreds of Original or Corrected Field Notes filings. His surveying experience includes 68 counties in West Texas and 3 counties in Southeastern New Mexico. Since founding Piper Surveying in 1981, he has provided competent surveying supervision to nurture the Company to its current stage of development.

Oscar has thirty nine years of experience in the West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico region.  His experience includes construction surveying, topographical surveying, boundary surveying, and route surveying.  He was certified under OSHA’s 40-hour Personal Protection and Safety Course.  He has been a member of our staff since 1984.

Tina has over thirteen years of experience in the surveying profession. Her experience includes topographical surveys, boundary surveys, land title surveys, subdivisions, oil well permit plats, as-drilled and as-built plats, and pipeline routing surveys. She is a UTPB graduate. She has been a member of our staff since 2010.

Jody has twenty two years of experience in the surveying profession. His experience includes construction staking, topographical surveying, boundary surveying, route surveying, and oil well location staking. He holds 29 land surveying hours at Odessa College in Odessa, Texas . Jody has been a member of our staff since 2001.
